OUR TEAM Our team is made up of students from Piedmont Middle and High School who are in 8th and 9th grade. Some of us have prior experience with FTC and other robotics leagues, and we also have members who are new to robotics.
|
OUR CODEWe code in Java using Android Studio and GitHub. GitHub lets us synchronize our work and keep a central project updated, and Android Studio is where we write our actual code, and it also helps with debugging and switching between programs.
|
OUR ROBOTOur robot uses a mecanum drivetrain with 4
mecanum wheels that are designed so that our robot can move in any direction without turning. We have 4 motors so that these wheels can move independently and allow for any movement and rotation. We also have an intake, holding system, and launcher to launch rings. |
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Our community outreach has been severely restricted by COVID-19, however we have reached out to our community in the form of this website, and most of our action has been in advising FLL team 37484, The Banana Splits. We have come to some of their meetings to provide advice and support. We have also made our field available to other teams in our area who don't have a full field for competing.
